Providing flexible efficient project delivery is one of our key values at MRY Renewables. Consultants can be an invaluable and flexible resource to provide expert insight. Bringing in subject matter experts is proven to result in faster more efficient project delivery.
The recent Sunak cabinet reshuffle prompted the establishment of theDepartment for Energy Security and Net Zero which promises to “provide dedicated leadership focused on delivering security of energy supply, ensuring properly functioning markets, greater energy efficiency and seizing the opportunities of net zero to lead the world in new green industries”. Sounds good so far.
The new Department, a breakaway from the former Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, has made admirable pledges for this year; vowing to focus on easing the cost of living and bringing down energy bills.
Interestingly, among its longer term objectives is a commitment to “bring external delivery expertise to bear on its portfolio of major projects”. This is so important.
Government departments have been accused in the past of not focussing on project deliverability; resulting in delays and runaway cost increases. Knowing how to utilise expert knowledge can keep you out of trouble as a business, or, as in this case , government department. Recognising the need for expert guidance and harnessing their experience has demonstrable success for delivering projects, particularly in the green energy sector.
At MRY Renewables, we have a combined wealth of knowledge in the renewable energy infrastructure sector: providing a fresh perspective either on a short term project basis or through longer client relationships. We also provide training to help upskill client teams.
